Milarepa: Magician, Murderer, Saint Milarepa was written and directed by Neten Chockling and produced by Raymond Steiner (The Cup, Travellers & Magicians). A historical epic, the film tells the unlikely story of the man who would become one of Tibet's greatest folk heroes and one of the more legendary spiritual figures within Tibetan Buddhism. Milarepa began a platform release starting in New York and Los Angeles in September 2007. It played over 65 markets in the U.S. and Canada – opening to $12,100 on one screen in New York on September 7th, 2007 and $11,800 in Los Angeles one week later.
